Iranian and Kazakh universities meet to expand scientific relations

On October 5th, 2017, a mutual meeting was held in Shahid Beheshti University (SBU) on considering the ways of expanding scientific relations between selective Iranian universities and scientific institutions on the one hand and three Kazakh universities, namely, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, South-Kazakhstan Pedagogical University and L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University on the other, with the presence of the representatives of both sides and coordination of Kazakh Embassy in Iran and the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT). In this one-day meeting, attended by the Iranian representatives, including Tehran university, Sharif University of technology, Allameh Tabatabae’i University, Iran University of Science and Technology, Kharazmi University, Tehran University of Art and the MSRT, the two sides introduced their universities, considering the mutual fields of academic and scientific relations.


Also the Kazakh side suggested establishing a center at SBU with the cooperation of Al-Farabi University under the title of Al-Farabi for the purpose of facilitating the scientific relations between universities of Iran and Kazakhstan. After this meeting, the Kazakh delegation visited Dr. Sadough, President of SBU, and at the end, a mutual MoU was signed by SBU and South-Kazakhstan Pedagogical University. They also visited Persian Language Center and Medicinal Plants and Drugs Research Institute accompanying with the representatives of International Academic Collaboration Office.
