Representatives of three Kazakh universities meet SBU president

A delegation including representatives of three Kazakh universities, namely, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and South-Kazakhstan Pedagogical University had a meeting with Dr. Sadough, President of SBU on November 5th, 2017. Welcoming the Kazakh delegation, Dr. Sadough mentioned that SBU has plenty capacities for expanding scientific and cultural relations. Referring to the abundant historical and cultural background of Iran and Kazakhstan, he expressed his satisfaction of the impressive and important role of Kazakhstan in regional issues such as holding several meetings in Astana and Almaty in the level of foreign ministers and country leaders about important topics like Syria. Afterwards, he mentioned his presence in the OIC Ministerial Conference in Astana as well as his visit of Future Energy exhibition which was held on a top level and told: “Taking into consideration both countries' attachment to the Islamic world, Kazakhstan’s pride is ours as well”. He addressed that academic and scientific relations and its development can lead to the expansion of such important international and regional conferences in Kazakhstan. He continued: “The academic relation between Kazakh universities and SBU is a serious project that will go on with a political willpower, and SBU, along with directing the working group for scientific collaborations with Russia, can take the responsibility of the working group for scientific collaboration with Kazakhstan”.

In this meeting, representatives of Kazakh universities among thanking the President of SBU for arranging this meeting and announcing the official invitations of the mentioned universities’ presidents from Dr. Sadough to visit their universities, expressed hope for the expansion of academic relations between both countries in the close future. Dr. Sadough showed his inclination to take a special trip to Kazakhstan in order to visit these universities.  At the end of this meeting, a mutual MoU was signed by SBU and South-Kazakhstan Pedagogical University.
