The sixth meeting of the National Working Group on
International Scientific Cooperation with Russia, hosted by Shahid Beheshti
University (SBU) and attended by guests and representatives of member universities,
research institutes and centers of the Russian Working Group, was held virtually
on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.
Presenting a report on the activities of the members of the
working group, Dr. Karimian, Director of International Scientific Cooperation,
gave a brief summary of the decisions of the fifth meeting of the working
group.
Then, Dr. Nasiri Ghidari, President of SBU, in a speech
appreciating the participation of members in advancing the goals of the working
group, stressed the need to formulate and send future plans of all members in
order to prevent parallel work.
Announcing the call for the 2021 Russian State Scholarship, Dr.
Najafi, Scientific Advisor and Supervisor of Iranian Students in Russia,
Belarus and Central Asia, referred to the standardization of the Russian
language proficiency test (Padfak) in Iran and considered this a new service for
applicants who want to study in Russia.
Dr. Gholami, Representative of the Vice Presidency for
Science and Technology and Mr. Parsizadeh,
Head of the Scientific Diplomacy Unit of the Fund for Supporting Researchers
and Technologists discussed the capacities and support projects of the Center
for International Interaction of Science and Technology and the report of the second
joint call by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR), respectively.
Dr. Taghipour and Dr. Haddad, Directors of International
Scientific Cooperation of Birjand and Yazd Universities gave a speech on promoting
domestic cooperation to improve and expand international activities in Russia
and providing Information on holding joint webinars by SBU and Yazd University for introducing the capacities and opportunities
of international scientific cooperation with Russian university centers,
respectively.
At the end of the meeting, a question and answer session was
held.
