The question lies in this point that how these fields can be used to develop and internalize human rights and dignity. This department, similar to other research departments of the Chair, is under financial and moral support of UNDP.

The department consists of two sub-groups that each is responsible for coordinating and holding seminars and training workshops:

This sub-group intends to investigate the role of philosophical schools in forming and developing the concepts of human rights. To do so, the group has researched in the field of philosophical schools and also identified the schools related to law and legal affairs. Following that, the department has deliberated the mutual interaction between the schools and human rights from the perspective of modern scientists with an emphasis on the modern views. It is specifically tried to discuss the reflection of philosophical thoughts in human rights instruments.
2.      The Studies of Religions and Human Rights
This sub-group, with an emphasis on the role of religions and enriching the concepts of human rights, has studied the position and role of human rights ( in a general sense) and tried to evaluate the available analyses of religions from the perspective of human rights and vice-versa assesses the challenges of religions in the fields of human rights. On this way, the relation between humans and God will be also included under the heading of human rights and public law and not necessarily is limited to Monotheistic Religions.
