This department posses live collection of medicinal plants as well as the seed bank.

It can also provide the following services through self and international collaboration efforts:

-Establishment of medicinal plants fields for research and training purposes

-Cultivation and production of native medicinal plants for adaptation, phytochemical evaluation and genetic preservation

-Consultations in postgraduate research projects
