Student of SBU wins silver medal in 11th National Nanotechnology Competition

The student of Shahid Beheshti University received the silver medal of the 11th National Nanotechnology Competition.
Omid Sheikhani, a master's student of physics at Shahid Beheshti University, won the silver medal in the post-graduate section of this competition, which was held with the theme of “Education, Competition, Business” in three stages.
In the closing ceremony of this competition, the winners were announced in undergraduate and graduate sections, and the student of Shahid Beheshti University won the silver medal.
 The first stage of the competition was held online on July 20-22, 2022 with the presence of 5076 participants, and the top 300 participants entered the second stage. The second stage was held in person on August 19, 2022, and the top 30 participants entered the third stage or empowerment camp and practical competition. Omid Sheikhani won the 11th rank in this stage.
The third and final stage of this competition was held in person for 5 days on September 19-23, 2022. During this camp, participants competed in practical and laboratory work sections, written test and analyzing and presenting the results, and finally the student of Shahid Beheshti University won the silver medal of this competition.
The National Nanotechnology Competition is the largest scientific competition in the field of nano science and technology among university students and graduates, which is organized annually by the Nanotechnology Education Foundation. The purpose of holding the national nano competition is to increase the familiarity of students and researchers with nano technology, raise the discourse level of science and nano technology in universities and other scientific-educational centers of the country, identify the country's nano elites and the top people in this field, guide educational-research activities and support the activities created in this field.
