The present book presents the practical methods of postural assessment and quantification of postural Indicators with a completely scientific approach in order to provide a source for students, especially PhD and master’s students and specialists of this field in academic spaces and service centers for corrective movements and to fill the scientific-practical gap in this field to some extent. In fact, one of the aims of this book is to acquaint postgraduate students in the field of sports pathology and corrective movements with laboratory methods of postural assessment. The teaching of these methods is aimed at applying scientific methods in quantifying the postural features and characteristics of people who refer to experts and specialists of corrective movements so that on the one hand they can develop their scientific mastery of practical laboratory methods and on the other hand improve postural quantification in scientific research.

The present book consists of six chapters. The first chapter deals with clinical anatomy and compensatory postures of different parts of the body. The second chapter examines the predominant physical postures and the methods of assessing posture in children. Chapters 3 through 6 examine laboratory methods of assessment and measurement of posture, including observational assessment, quantitative posture measurements, functional assessments and physical examinations, muscle length tests, common postural deviations, and common physical abnormalities.
