Shahid Beheshti University has achieved remarkable progress in the latest Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2026 published by the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE), securing 14th place in the world and second place in Iran in the field of interdisciplinary sciences.
According to the Public Relations Office of Shahid Beheshti University, this specialized ranking—conducted in collaboration with the Schmidt Science Fellows program—assesses the performance of 911 universities from 94 countries based on their level of engagement and commitment to advancing interdisciplinary scientific research.
In the 2025 edition, Shahid Beheshti University was placed in the global rank band of 301–350 and held the eighth position nationally. Its significant rise to 147th globally and second nationally in 2026 reflects the university’s strengthened standing in interdisciplinary science and marks an important step toward enhancing its international reputation.
