
The third day of the "Workshop on Understanding the Structure and Cooperation Platforms with BRICS" was held on Wednesday, February 27, 2025, at Shahid Beheshti University.
According to the Office of Scientific and International Cooperation Management, Shahid Beheshti University, in collaboration with the Presidential Office, hosted the third day of the event titled "Understanding the Structure and Cooperation Platforms with BRICS." The workshop was held on its first day at Pardis Technology Park and on the second day at the Innovation and Prosperity Fund. The third day of this program took place on Wednesday, February 27, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Simorgh Hall of the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Psychology.
At the beginning of the session, Dr. Abtahi, Deputy President for International Affairs and Director of International Scientific Cooperation at Shahid Beheshti University, welcomed the attendees and emphasized the importance of developing scientific and research collaborations within the framework of BRICS.
The session began with a lecture by Victoria Panova, Chair of the BRICS Expert Council, titled "BRICS and the Multipolar World: History, Structure, Values, and Future Perspectives."
Following that, Dr. Irina Kuklina, Executive Director of the International Center for Innovation in Science, Technology, and Education and Senior Expert of the BRICS Expert Council in Russia, delivered a speech on "The Science, Technology, and Innovation Ecosystem of Russia and Russia’s Perspective on BRICS Cooperation."
BRICS is an international group led by the world's emerging economic powers, including Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. As of early 2024, the group officially expanded to include the Islamic Republic of Iran, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia.
