High Pressure Laboratory recognized as authority for conducting tests for personal safety equipment

The High Pressure Laboratory of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (Power and Control) received from the Ministry of Labor the title of authority for conducting tests and issuing approvals for personal safety equipment.
The High Pressure Laboratory of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (Power and Control) of Shahid Beheshti University, located in Shahid Abbaspour Technical and Engineering Campus, was approved by the Research and Education Center for Technical Protection and Occupational Health of the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare as the operator of various safety and protection equipment tests, including all types of footwear, gloves, helmets and insulating flooring according to the national standard of Iran.
This approval was issued for the first time for this faculty, after the provision of equipment and hardware and software facilities and the preparation of the required instructions and forms and the visit by the officials and experts of the Ministry of Labor.
According to this approval, which was issued in line with the implementation of the National Network of Technical Protection Laboratories project on December 1, 2023 by the Center for Research and Education of Technical Protection and Occupational Health, the High Pressure Laboratory of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (Power and Control) is allowed to carry out tests and issue approval for the following equipment:

The applicants for these tests are, on the one hand, the manufacturers of these equipments, who apply to a reliable and approved authority to perform the tests both in order to ensure the quality of their production equipment and to provide relevant approval to major distributors and consumers. On the other hand, the major consumers of this equipment, i.e. industrial factories and contracting companies, send them for testing in order to ensure the quality of the purchased equipment for the safety of their personnel and to eliminate liability in the event of possible accidents, after random sampling of the major items in the above table being purchased.
