For the first time among universities affiliated with the Ministry of Science, an innovative and dedicated space titled "Patogh-e Hale Khoob" has been inaugurated at Shahid Beheshti University, exclusively for female students. This delightful and uplifting space has been thoughtfully designed to promote mental well-being, elevate students’ moods, and create a peaceful and joyful environment on campus.
Nestled within the university grounds, Patogh-e Hale Khoob offers a cozy, tranquil refuge tailored to the needs of female students. Every detail—from the cheerful colors and comfortable furnishings to the inviting design—has been artistically considered to provide a space where students can take a break from academic pressures, recharge, engage in friendly conversations, or simply enjoy a quiet moment of solitude. More than just a physical space, it represents a meaningful effort to address the emotional and psychological needs of young women, offering them a safe and relaxing environment.
Beyond its warm and welcoming atmosphere, Patogh-e Hale Khoob also features a variety of programs and services that transform it into much more than just a rest area. Students can participate in skill-building workshops, receive psychological counseling, and join talent discovery activities such as music sessions, book readings, and art showcases—all designed to enhance well-being and promote positive mental health. The space also includes cozy corners for writing, painting, and enjoying a cup of tea with friends.
With a deep understanding of the needs of young women, this initiative supports not only their academic growth but also their mental and emotional flourishing. Patogh-e Hale Khoob is a space for creativity, self-discovery, and meaningful social interaction within the university setting.
The inauguration ceremony took place on Sunday, May 11, 2025, with the presence of the university president and a number of university officials.
Dr. Mahmoudreza Aghamiri, President of Shahid Beheshti University, expressed his pleasure at the launch of this cultural initiative, stating: “Today we are witnessing the opening of the Patogh-e Hale Khoob, a cultural space designed specifically for female students. Inspired by the spirit of student gatherings, this innovative lounge provides an ideal environment for fostering positive lifestyle changes. As a pioneering model, it aims to support intellectual, spiritual, and social development among our female students.”
Dr. Aghamiri further emphasized the university’s broader strategies for creating joyful environments and enhancing student motivation—particularly among female students. “In recent years, the university has undertaken systematic planning to develop and strengthen recreational and cultural infrastructures. This initiative is a tangible outcome of those ongoing efforts.”
He added that this new space has been designed to support effective leisure management, promote social vitality, and nurture Iranian-Islamic cultural values. The lounge includes several functional sections, each to be activated in carefully planned phases, allowing female students not only to enjoy relaxing moments but also to cultivate their human and spiritual potential.
