Shahid Beheshti University’s men’s 3×3 basketball team secured third place at the 2025 Asian Universities Championship held in Putuo, Zhoushan, China.
The team, consisting of Matin Aghajanpour, Pouria Taghizadeh, Amirhossein Rezaeifar, and Rastin Torabi, participated under the coaching and supervision of Dr. Borumand and Dr. Akhtardanesh.
In the third-place match, the team defeated Mongolia with a score of 18–15 to claim the bronze medal.
The 7th edition of the Asian Universities 3×3 Basketball Championship was held from May 23–25, 2025, in Putuo, Zhoushan, with the participation of teams from 12 countries.
Iran was represented in the tournament by one men’s team from Shahid Beheshti University and two teams (men and women) from Payam Noor University, coordinated by the National University Sports Federation.
