Dr. Seyed Jamal Seifi, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, Shahid Beheshti University, has been appointed as the ad hoc judge of Iran in the case of "Violation of International Immunities (Islamic Republic of Iran v. Canada)."

His previous experience includes membership in the Permanent Court of Arbitration (2006–2016), serving as an arbitrator at the Iran–United States Claims Tribunal since September 2009, and being a member of the group of distinguished international jurists tasked with drafting the 2012 Optional Rules for Arbitration and the Optional Protocol on Provisional Measures of the Permanent Court of Arbitration.
