With the aim of introducing its capacities and capabilities and expanding academic, educational, and research collaborations, Shahid Beheshti University participated in the 30th China International Education Exhibition Tour held in Beijing. This scientific and educational exhibition took place in April 2025 in Beijing, with the presence of representatives from eight Iranian universities alongside Chinese officials. The event served as a platform for exchanging scientific experiences and capabilities among universities worldwide, with particular emphasis on cooperation between Iranian and Chinese institutions.
Dr. Abtahi, Director of International Scientific Cooperation at Shahid Beheshti University, represented the university at this exhibition. He joined the "Study in Iran" pavilion alongside representatives from seven major Iranian universities as part of a delegation led by Dr. Habiba, Deputy Minister and Head of the Student Affairs Organization, Dr. Ghanbari, Deputy of the same organization, and Dr. Mehryar, Scientific Counselor at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in China.
Officials from Shahid Beheshti University, University of Tehran, Sharif University of Technology, University of Isfahan, University of Shiraz, University of Mazandaran, Tarbiat Modares University, and Ferdowsi University of Mashhad participated in this mission to explore opportunities for academic and technological collaboration, including faculty and student exchange programs with Chinese universities.
At the exhibition, each university representative introduced their institution to visitors—particularly student recruitment agencies—through brochures, posters, online registration forms, and other promotional materials. They also explained the application process to prospective students and engaged in discussions about faculty and student recruitment, academic exchange programs, research opportunities, and mutual scholarship offerings. Dr. Habiba emphasized the importance of strengthening academic relations with China and expressed hope that both countries would prioritize the expansion and consolidation of these ties. In his meeting with the Deputy Minister of Education of China, he discussed academic diplomacy and faculty/student exchange programs, which led to several agreements.
