Dr. Seyyed Mahmoud Reza Aghamiri, President of Shahid Beheshti University, in a message on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ (Peace be upon Him) and the arrival of Christians’ holiday, Christmas, extended his congratulations to Christian faculty members, students, and all Christian compatriots, and underscored the necessity of peace, tolerance, and the removal of oppression in today’s world.

In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
I extend my sincere congratulations on the radiant birth of the herald of truth and the light of mercy, Jesus Christ (Peace be upon Him)—that heavenly messenger who breathed the message of peace, compassion, and loving-kindness into the hearts of people across the world—and on the arrival of Christians’ holiday, Christmas, this celebration of hope and joy, to all who worship the One God and to our esteemed Christian compatriots, especially the distinguished faculty and accomplished students of Shahid Beheshti University.
In this age filled with turmoil and suffering, humanity, more than ever, is thirsty for the luminous and liberating messages of the Divine Prophets—messages that call humankind to friendship and tolerance, to peace, and to the eradication of oppression and injustice from the world.
I pray to Almighty God for a year filled with tranquility and flourishing—overflowing with health, joy, and prosperity—for all people, especially the followers of the sacred faith of Jesus Christ (Peace be upon Him).
