
Maizheh Banu (Wang Xinyi), a Chinese student, recited Saadi’s poetry at the 5th Persian Language and Literature Olympiad of Universities Across China.
The 5th Persian Language and Literature Olympiad of universities across China was hosted by Beijing International Studies University in both in-person and online formats.
Dr. Seyed Mehdi Tabatabai, a faculty member of the Faculty of Literature and Humanities at Shahid Beheshti University, who is currently a visiting professor at Beijing International Studies University, sent a recording of one of his students’ Saadi recitations to the university's public relations office. The student won first place in the poetry recitation category of the Olympiad.
In the final stage of this Olympiad, 45 selected students from the following universities participated: Peking University, University of International Business and Economics, Beijing, Beijing International Studies University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Beijing Language and Culture University, Tianjin Foreign Studies University, Zhejiang Yuexiu University, Shanghai International Studies University, Shihezi University, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Linxian College.
