According to the Public Relations Office of Shahid Beheshti University, Dr. Hamidi, speaking at the opening ceremony, referred to the university’s ongoing development of research infrastructure and stated that Complex No. 2 has been established over the past three years. She added that a significant portion of its equipment was provided through support from the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, along with the allocation of 90 billion tomans in funding by the university.
She further noted that the laboratory structure operates in a networked and integrated manner (the “Bit Network”), which has enabled coordinated utilization of specialized instruments across the university’s faculties.
During the ceremony, Dr. Ashabi, Head of the Central Laboratory, announced that all instruments in the laboratory are fully operational, and that as of last month, Shahid Beheshti University’s Central Laboratory has been upgraded to the “Capable” level within the National Laboratory Network.
Referring to a call for applications to recruit PhD students as laboratory assistants, he stated that five specialized instruments are currently managed under this complex, and that there are no inactive instruments across the university. He also announced plans to launch an Analysis and Instrumentation Consultation Clinic, enabling researchers to receive specialized guidance and choose the most appropriate approach before using the equipment.
On the sidelines of the inauguration of Central Laboratory No. 2, Dr. Abtahi—the Acting Deputy Minister for Research at the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology—and his accompanying delegation also visited Central Laboratory No. 1 and the Research Institute of Plants and Pharmaceutical Raw Materials to review the activities, facilities, and capacities of these centers firsthand.
