The Permanent International Secretariat for Honeybee Food and Pharmaceutical Products will be established at the Research Center for Honeybee Products at Shahid Beheshti University.
During the closing ceremony of the First Symposium on Honeybee Food and Pharmaceutical Products, it was approved that the Permanent Secretariat and the Policy Council for Honeybee Food and Pharmaceutical Products would be established at the Research Center for Honeybee Products at Shahid Beheshti University. This initiative will be carried out in collaboration with all specialists and veterans present at the symposium, as well as with the cooperation of the National Standards Organization, the Food and Drug Administration, the National Institute of Nutrition and Food Industry Research, the Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, the National Animal Science Research Institute, the Iranian Nutrition Society, the Union of Scientific Associations for Medicinal Plants of Iran, the Iranian Plant Protection Society, and other relevant regulatory and stakeholder organizations in the country.
It is worth mentioning that the Research Center for Honeybee Products is currently responsible for the scientific ranking committee of honeybee products in the country. Additionally, it is a member of the Experts Committee of the International Federation of Apitherapy (IFA) and represents Iran in four specialized committees of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
