In the latest results published for the Times Higher Education Subject Rankings 2025, Shahid Beheshti University has achieved a ranking of 501–600 in the subject areas of Arts and Humanities, Business and Economics, Education, and Psychology; a ranking of 601–800 in Social Sciences, Computer Science, and Engineering; and a ranking of 801–1000 in Life Sciences and Physical Sciences.

The Times Higher Education Subject Rankings is one of the most reputable international rankings. Its role is to assess and evaluate universities across various subject areas. This ranking identifies the world's top universities in 11 broad subject areas, some of which include multiple subfields. These subject areas are: Arts and Humanities, Business and Economics, Education, Law, Social Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, Clinical and Health, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Psychology.

Among the 11 subject areas ranked by the Times Higher Education, Iranian universities have managed to secure positions among the world's top universities in 10 subject areas. A total of 81 universities from the Islamic Republic of Iran are included in this ranking.
