Following the remarkable achievements of Shahid Beheshti University’s robotics teams at the Iran Open RoboCup International Competitions, Dr. Aghamiri, the university president, expressed his appreciation for the teams’ efforts and accomplishments during a cordial meeting with the team members and their supervisor.
The meeting was also attended by Dr. Hamidi, Vice President for Research, and Dr. Mohammad Hossein Moayeri, the supervisor of the robotics teams. Dr. Aghamiri congratulated the students on winning first place in the “Autonomous Vehicle” and “Service Robot” leagues, emphasizing the importance of expanding technological activities at the university. He highlighted the university’s priorities, including the development of robotics across various levels and the establishment of effective collaborations with national industries. He also underscored the need for planning and initiatives to support student teams’ participation in scientific and international events.
Dr. Hamidi also congratulated the students and referred to the university’s supportive policies for advancing research and technological activities in the field of robotics. He recognized the crucial role of student teams in enhancing the university’s academic standing.
Dr. Moayeri then presented a report on the preparation process, details of their participation in recent competitions, and future plans. In the second part of the meeting, the robotics team members introduced their fields of activity and shared their views and requests with the university president.
The meeting concluded with the presentation of gifts to outstanding students.
