Differential Scanning Calorimetry and Thermogravimetric Analysis Instruments Installed and Commissioned at Shahid Beheshti University's Central Laboratory With the commissioning of the Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) instruments at the Central Laboratory of Shahid Beheshti University, services are now available to academics and researchers.

Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) is a widely used thermal analysis technique in various fields, including chemistry, materials science, and pharmaceuticals, to study the thermal properties of materials. A key advantage of DSC is its ability to provide quantitative data on heat capacity, enthalpy, and phase transition temperatures. This information is crucial for understanding the stability and behavior of materials under different conditions, which is essential for product development and quality control.

In Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), a sample is subjected to a controlled temperature program in an inert or reactive atmosphere, while its mass is continuously monitored. This technique is also extensively used in research and development to characterize the thermal properties of polymers, composites, pharmaceuticals, catalysts, minerals, and other materials. It is particularly valuable for assessing material stability and degradation pathways under various environmental conditions, thereby aiding in the design and optimization of products and processes.

Esteemed faculty members, students, and researchers can schedule analyses by visiting the Central Laboratory's website at https://centrallab.sbu.ac.ir or by contacting +9821 29905427.
