Two short-story collections by Seyed Mahmoud Kamalara, a graduate of International Relations at Shahid Beheshti University and a PhD student in Political Science at Islamic Azad University, Science and Research Branch, have recently been published under the titles Mire Nakoq-e Zakariya and Youtab va Yasan dar Donyaye Naf-Borideha.
According to the Public Relations Office of Shahid Beheshti University, these two works, published following his earlier novella Yekom-e Yekom-e Nasimzad, take a distinctive approach to exploring the connection between the world of politics and the realm of the unconscious through surreal and imaginative narratives. They portray themes such as loneliness, power, fear, and the desire for liberation.
Kamalara has previously published four books on politics, diplomacy, and political thought, as well as a novella. The publication of these two short-story collections marks a new stage in his literary career, bringing political concepts and concerns into dialogue with fiction.
The two collections are currently available at the Shahid Beheshti University bookstore and library, as well as bookstores and distribution centers of the publishers, for interested readers.
Seyed Mahmoud Kamalara has also received awards at the national Titr and Harekat festivals and at the Shahid Beheshti University Student Publications Festival. He has previously served as Deputy Secretary of the Scientific Association of International Relations and Regional Studies at Shahid Beheshti University and as Executive Director of the Politics Among States yearbook.
